National Finalist Spot for Digital Marketing Agency

A Devon-based digital marketing agency is set to burst on to the national stage, thanks to news that it is a finalist in the prestigious DADI (Drum Awards for the Digital Industries) Awards – the ‘Oscars’ for the digital industry.

e-Strategy is one of six finalists in the Use of Organic Search Award (or search engine optimisation as it is otherwise known), where it rubs shoulders with the likes of Barclays, Kuoni and Diageo/Guinness. The agency has been recognised for its work for football supplies retailer Lovell Soccer, for which it has achieved a 379 per cent increase in organic search engine visibility.

The strength and success of the work are based on thorough research into popular search terms in this area of sports retail. The e-Strategy team also looked at the way in which customers searched for products which resulted in significant changes to website navigation and content.

e-Strategy was founded in 2001 and is based in Berry Pomeroy, South Devon. It operates across a wide spectrum of digital marketing disciplines, including search marketing, social media, usability and conversion rate optimisation, re-targeting and media buying, training and consultancy.

Its clients include The English Riviera, South West Tourism, Legoland Windsor, Truprint, South West Water and Reader’s Union.

The business is also an accredited Google agency; with five in-house Google Professionals.

Eddie Bent, managing director at e-Strategy, said: “It is a real achievement for any digital marketing business to reach the finals of the DADI awards, and we are delighted to have made it and in such prestigious company. My thanks go to our client Lovell Soccer and to my colleagues, all of whom have helped us to make our mark on the national digital stage.”

Steve Willicott, general manager at Lovell Soccer, commented: “We have hired e-Strategy on a number of occasions to help with improving everything from search engine visibility for Lovell Soccer to increasing our conversion rates. We were delighted with the thorough and strategic approach that they applied to our organic search campaign and were impressed by the high level of improvements in our search engine rankings and referring traffic.”

The team from e-Strategy will find out if they have won the Use of Organic Search Award at the DADI awards ceremony to be held at the Emirates Stadium in London in November.
